After preparing a listing consultation in Avalon this week, I realized something extraordinary with the real estate market in Myrtle Beach. The inventory on foreclosures is extremely low, and the foreclosures that are available are attracting bidding wars from buyers that are sold on the idea of only searching for a foreclosure. When you search for only foreclosed properties, you knock yourself out of some great real estate opportunities. You never know the seller's situation, and finding a great deal on what I call a "private sale" may prove to be a huge opportunity.

We have just completed our Carolina Forest real estate section of this site, and you can find content and images about all home and condo neighborhoods in the Carolina Forest area. I noticed that there are currently only 7 active foreclosure listings that are not under contract in the Carolina Forest area. A few years ago, there would be 7 foreclosures in a larger neighborhood alone like Avalon or The Farm. First glance is that the foreclosure and short sale inventory is down, and the properties that are available are receiving multiple offers.
